What are the best tools to learn English?

Many times students have asked me, "What's the best way to learn English?" There is not one answer to this question, but I often say, "Practice! Practice! Practice!" The more you speak English, the easier it becomes. The more you read in English and listen to English, the easier it gets.
So, I need to know from you some stuff, like for example:

• What's is the best way for you to learn English?
• Why do you think it's so difficult?
• What do you need to learn it?

Let me tell you somthing personal:
When I was a child, I hated English because thare was no way I could understand it... When I was 14, my mom put cable televition and I didn't go to school just to see movies of Hollywood, I remember I was really bad at school in my grades in all subjects, but there's one thing I learnt... ENGLISH!... I saw the same movies hundreds of times and I memorized the script and then I assimilate with the words they say until I formed the sentences by myself... That's how I learnt English and when I realized I wanted to be a teacher... So, here I am... things happen when you don't expect them... How do you know you can learn this language by video games or other way around? Find your own way to learn, it's not difficult if you try and practice it.
